High-Protein Oatmeal


This High-Protein Oatmeal recipe is hearty, comforting and super fast for busy mornings! Plus it's loaded 10g of protein per serving. Pair it with Taste Preserved Fruit Spreads to keep you satisifed all morning!

Ingredients

  • 400 g oats – about 4 cups
  • 50 g whey, unflavored ~2 scoops of Nutricost whey
  • 3 g salt ~1/2 tsp of Morton Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Taste Preserved Fruit Spread

Instructions

Prep the oatmeal

  • Using a large food processor, chop the oats on high for about 10 seconds. This helps the oat cook faster in the microwave.
  • Add the whey and salt to the oats and mix together with a spoon or spatula. Do not use the food processor or it will make the whey sticky.
  • Add to an air tight container to store. This makes about 11 servings.

Cook the oatmeal

  • In a large microwave safe bowl, mix together 1/3 c. of the high-protein oatmeal and 2/3 c. water.
  • Microwave on high for 1.5 minutes. Stir, then cook on high for 1 additional minute. Watch it while cooking to make sure it doesn't overflow!
  • Let it cool to thicken, or can add a little water to thin it out.
  • Add 1 Tbsp of Taste Preserved Fruit Spread and enjoy!
